Job Description

monday.com is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to grow our external product communications efforts and shape our regional narrative in APJ. This person will have experience pitching all kinds of product stories, shaping messaging, tracking stories, and building campaigns. More than anything, this person lives for media relations. From developing the angle to securing the piece, this role will own the process from A to Z and work with the team to maximize impact.

As our Senior Communications Manager, you'll work closely with teams across the company to build our media presence rooted in our brand values, scale a global strategy, and amplify awareness of monday.com in APJ. To support our external product communications, you'll develop and drive creative, engaging narratives that elevate monday.com's role as a global AI work platform.

About The Role

  • Create and implement press-worthy national and regional media campaigns; craft, pitch, and drive story ideas to business, technology, and broadcast reporters to drive coverage.
  • Draft and edit press releases, pitches, briefing documents, media summaries, and more.
  • Develop and manage media relationships with key reporters.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to find stories to tell and ensure that our target markets are well-informed about monday.com.
  • Elevate our awareness, adoption, and understanding in APJ through consistent, impactful communication strategies.
  • Oversee and manage the APJ PR agency partnerships to ensure effective localization, maximize ROI, and align execution with global initiatives for regional impact.
  • Provide counsel and support to the monday.com team on brand awareness and crisis management.
  • Own back office responsibilities, including coverage monitoring and reporting, research reports, and more.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of PR experience (PR agency experience preferred).
  • Excellent media relations background and strong media relationships; successful history working on feature stories, profiles, executive Q&As, and contributed content.
  • Top-notch writing skills, experience writing contributed content, blogs, press releases, and more.
  • You are outcomes and results-focused. You know how to prioritize strategy and goals for teams and rally everyone to focus on the highest-impact initiatives.
  • You have incredible organizational skills and attention to detail, and are able to balance the big picture while getting the important things right (done is better than perfect!)
  • Experience managing executive engagements at conferences and events.
  • You’re a team player.
  • You’re energetic and enthusiastic: an independent thinker, driven, takes initiative, yet works well with all kinds of partners.
  • You have presentation and communication skills, and the ability to rally the team to get ‘er done.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, public affairs, or equivalent
