WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Sr. Communications Manager supports Technology Operations & Resilience (TOR) leadership in delivering effective, timely, and strategic communications across internal stakeholders. This role bridges technical and business audiences, ensuring clear messaging on operational initiatives, incident management, and key performance metrics aligned with organizational strategy.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Strategic Communications

  • Team Communications: Developing clear, engaging messaging for internal teams and employees
  • Newsletter & Email Communications: Creating engaging routine communications and updates
  • Intranet & Portal Content: Developing and maintaining internal communications platforms
  • Change Communications: Supporting organizational changes with clear, timely messaging
  • Town Hall Management: Planning and executing all-hands meetings and team events
  • Feedback Management: Gathering and incorporating feedback into communications approaches

Metrics & Performance Reporting

  • Develop and maintain key metrics dashboards and reporting frameworks
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and fiscal performance reports aligned with TOR strategy
  • Support executive scorecards and strategic business reviews with clear, professional visualizations
  • Track and communicate progress against strategic objectives

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build relationships with TI leadership, business units, and cross-functional partners
  • Gather communication feedback and adjust messaging as needed
  • Ensure consistent, cohesive messaging across all internal communications

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • 5-7 years of professional communications experience, with at least 2-3 years in a technology, operations, or financial services environment
  • 2+ years of experience managing internal and external communications simultaneously
  • 2+ years of experience creating executive-level presentations and board materials
  • Experience developing and executing communication strategies for complex initiatives or transformations
  • Experience with metrics reporting, dashboards, and performance communication
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Alternative: 7-10 years of demonstrated professional communications experience in technology or financial services with equivalent competencies, subject to hiring manager discretion
  • Nice to have: Advanced degree (MBA) or professional communications certification (IABC, PRSA)
  • Content Development & Design Skills (Presentation Development, Visual Communication & Design, Dashboard & Metrics Visualization, Written communications, Multi-Format Content Development)
  • Business Acumen and Strategic Thinking
  • Interpersonal & Soft Skills (Communication & Relationship Management, Collaboration and Teamwork, Adaptability & Resilience, Attention to Detail & Quality

  • Microsoft Office (Expert Level):
    • PowerPoint: Advanced presentation creation
    • Word: Professional document creation
    • Excel: Data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, charts
    • Outlook: Email and calendar management
    • Teams: Collaboration and virtual meetings
  • Collaboration/Communication Platforms:
    • SharePoint: Document management and collaboration
    • Teams/Slack: Team communication
    • Intranet platforms: Content management and publishing
    • Poppulo
    • Confluence/Helios
    • AI tools (ChatGPT or In-House Agentic tools)
  • Data & Analytics Tools:
    • Excel: Advanced analytics
    • Tableau/Power BI: Dashboard and visualization creation
