Sentara Health Plan AvMed in Doral is looking to hire a Senior Communication Advisor;
The Senior Communications Advisor is responsible for developing, implementing and managing communications planning and public relations initiatives to build community and constituent support, and enhance Sentara's national, statewide, regional and local reputation.
This position is responsible for developing proactive strategies and tactics for early identification of potential and emerging issues that may impact AvMed and will engage the appropriate multi-disciplinary stakeholders to manage emerging issues before they become rallying points for external constituencies and will support crisis and disaster communications. The position is required to work closely with organizational leaders, could self-manage and lead projects from conception to completion. Must have direct and regular media contacts and relationships. Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic internal communications strategies and plans, including executive support.
Must have experience communicating and handling issues in the digital and social media space and have strong project management skills.
