Senior Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all commissioning-related activities, from the initial design phase through to final plant handover covering all responsibilities listed below.
Directs or carries out the commissioning phase of a project, for both equipment and processes, up to delivery, to meet contractual requirements in optimal time-scales
Assist in delivering design studies, control the implementation on site during the execution stage, check and coordinate the consistency of design documents produced for a project.
Safely handover the plant to client, guaranteeing its operability in terms of performance related with the contract, performing/planning/organizing required pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up steps.
Control of the plant till the final acceptance and providing site visits to ensure healthy operation of the plant by client.
Working in the preparation of the documents at the design stage of the project, either requested with the related contract or required to proper installation and operation of treatment units.
Prepares and revises standard documents to optimize commissioning operations
Draws up the commissioning schedule in line with the project schedule
Directs, coordinates and/or implements the commissioning procedure in line with contractual requirements: safety plans, preliminary operations, process and equipment tests,
Analyses, plant adjustments/settings, customer validation of performance, etc.
Ensures all relevant safety and security procedures are complied with the requirements, directives and regulations
Proposes modifications as necessary to processes, equipment, automatic systems, etc.
Drafts and updates operating instructions to take into account lessons learnt during commissioning
Monitors compliance and drafts non-compliance forms, proposals for corrective measures, feedback reports
Providing necessary training to client field operators.
Ensure that all equipment and instruments are installed and calibrated properly, planning of vendor assistance plans of necessary/critical equipment.
Participate to control and review required design documents in relation to commissioning activities.
Brings support to tender engineers, project engineers and assists to QHSE Department for SAPI projects.
Apply the safety procedures for operations bound to their activity.
