The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of commissioning for the communication equipment deployed in different projects within the Kingdom. You will lead all activities related to commissioning including coordination of site mobilization, managing all aspects of site construction, interfacing with customers, scheduling resources.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the commissioning process.

  • Oversee all activities at the site including installation, testing, and commissioning.

  • Manage customer relationships ensuring expectations are met and site safety is maintained.

  • Schedule resources and personnel needed for successful project execution.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely completion of all tasks related to commissioning.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written to ensure clear understanding among stakeholders.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working on DWDM, MPLS-TP & SDH systems including their NMS (Network Management Systems) for different vendors.

  • Strong knowledge of telecommunication standards.

  • Experience with commissioning and start-up procedures for telecom equipment.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Ability to travel frequently (>75%) within region/country and internationally as required.

  • Willingness to work in challenging outdoor environments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook Experience of working on Huawei MPLS-TP & DWDM systems.

  • Experience of working on Huawei MPLS-TP & DWDM network management systems.

  • Experience of working on Infinera MPLS-TP systems.

  • Experience of working on Infinera MPLS-TP network management systems.

  • Experience of working on Hitachi Energy telecommunication systems and OTN systems will be an added bonus.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
