Senior Commercial Manager – Equipment
Sizewell C

Location: London, Bristol, Ipswich & Manchester
Contract: Permanent, full-time. 
Closing Date: Tuesday 11th August 2026

What’s in It for You:


Salary: Circa £82,186 per annum (depending on experience)
Bonus: 5% annual incentive

Your Impact


We’re looking for a seasoned commercial professional with extensive experience delivering major programmes, ideally within large-scale engineering and infrastructure projects valued between £10m and £100m+. Experience in industries such as Energy (Nuclear, Wind, Solar, Oil and Gas), Datacentres and the like will be highly regarded. You’ll bring a deep understanding of construction technology, cost drivers, and supply chain management, combined with a strong working knowledge of FIDIC (highly desirable) and NEC3/NEC4 contracts; particularly in contract management and administration. Your ability to draft position papers, evaluate variations, evaluate complex quotations, manage risk and produce clear commercial reports will set you apart.

What you will do


Lead the commercial management of major contracts within large-scale engineering and infrastructure projects.
Manage and Administer FIDIC Contracts, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and effective delivery.
Prepare and maintain key contract documentation, including early warning notices, variations and claim responses.
Understand and administer price fluctuation clauses.
Be articulate in drafting position papers, prepare commercial reports and author change events to support project decisions.
Apply your understanding of construction technology, cost drivers and supply chain management to optimise outcomes.
Manage, mentor and develop direct reports and early-career team members, building capability across the commercial function.
Engage confidently with senior stakeholders and clients, providing clear advice and updates.
Engage with team members and contractors in a confident, professional, and collaborative manner, fostering constructive relationships while assertively ensuring that the client’s contractual rights and obligations are always protected. Take ownership of challenges and deliver solutions from start to finish without the need for direction.
Contribute to strategic commercial planning and decision-making to support project success.
Manage and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Bring


Proven experience in major projects and FIDIC (highly desirable) or NEC3/4 contracts
Strong commercial, negotiation, influencing, problem solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
Team-oriented mindset, and fosters innovation and collaboration
Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements and make recommendations
Experience of CEMAR Contract Management platform desired but not essential
Knowledge of UK contract law and procurement best practices
Degree or equivalent experience
Professional membership (RICS, CICES, IOB, CIPS) desirable
