Job Description

We are now looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our skilled commercial team.

Reporting directly to the General Manager (Commercial), this integral role will see you leading the commercial and contractual management of two of our major Through Life Support (TLS) contracts. This role will suit someone with strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills as well as having a great commercial acumen. You will be accountable for:

  • Effective and timely management of upstream/downstream contracts and commercial activities
  • Liaison with a range of internal and external contacts
  • Optimising commercial outcomes across rollingstock projects
  • Acting as the commercial representative for allocated projects
  • Pro-active risk and opportunity management
  • Involvement with progress claims, forecasting, financial and project reporting

This is a fulltime, permanent role, ideally based in our Melbourne CBD office.

About You:

  • 7+ years demonstrated experience in contracts management
  • Previous experience in rollingstock, construction, engineering, manufacturing or other relevant industry highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Law, Business Commerce, or similar
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence within a complex environment
  • Proven ability to problem solve and develop improvements
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels
