Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Commercial Manager - Saudi National to join our team! In this role, you will lead the commercial and contractual management of major infrastructure and building projects, ensuring successful commercial execution, contract compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and oversee the commercial performance of assigned project areas to ensure compliance with project objectives, contractual obligations, and commercial procedures.
  • Support the Project Director by providing commercial guidance, strategic direction, and specialized assistance on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Interface with client representatives and senior stakeholders, attending regular meetings and presenting commercial updates, reports, and recommendations.
  • Assist in contract negotiations, amendments, and modifications to secure favorable commercial terms and conditions.
  • Establish and implement strategic commercial management plans and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the commercial execution of projects in coordination with the Senior Project Manager to ensure delivery within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Prepare project commercial status reports, including updated cost forecasts, financial projections, and schedule impacts.
  • Identify scope changes, variations, and differing site conditions, and secure appropriate change orders where applicable.
  • Review project progress reports and contract status to assess financial performance and recommend corrective actions where required.
  • Advise management on minimizing contractual risks and potential claims arising from non-compliance with contract requirements.
  • Manage the review and assessment of contractual claims, notices, variation orders, and engineer instructions.
  • Maintain commercial records including contract amendments, claims logs, insurance records, and variation documentation.
  • Facilitate contract close-out activities and ensure all contractual obligations have been fulfilled prior to final payment.
  • Support the administration of Parsons contracts, invoicing, and commercial reporting activities.
  • Promote best commercial management practices and mentor project commercial teams.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field from an accredited internationally recognized university.
  • Chartered professional qualification from a recognized international body such as:
  • Chartered
  • Institute of Building (CIOB)
  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • Minimum 20 years of overall experience in major infrastructure and building projects.
  • Minimum 10 years of commercial management experience on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, commercial management, claims management, and change management processes.
  • Extensive experience with project financial management, cost control, and commercial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of international forms of contract and contractual procedures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in commercial and reporting tools.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

  • GCC project experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management capability.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical commercial matters to senior management and clients.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex commercial issues simultaneously.
