The Commercial Finance Manager will support in building and running the new Commercial Finance function at Influencer within their respective region. This is a hands-on, highly business-facing role that partners with the Brand Partnerships (New Business), Client Services, Operations, and Finance teams to drive improved revenue forecasting and recognition, pricing discipline, margin optimisation, and commercial decision support.

You will play a critical role in integrating Waves, HubSpot, and downstream finance processes—ensuring that opportunities, SOWs, budgets, creator selections, deliverables, and revenue recognition rules flow seamlessly through the commercial lifecycle. This role will elevate commercial rigor across the organization while enabling non-finance teams to move faster, price smarter, and forecast more accurately.

  • Established trusted partnerships with the New York Brand Partnerships and Client Services leadership teams, becoming their go-to finance partner for commercial decisions

  • Built and implemented the core commercial finance toolkit - pricing templates, revenue forecasting models, and campaign profitability dashboards that teams use daily

  • Delivered your first monthly regional P&L presentation to executive leadership with clear insights and actionable recommendations

  • Designed and started rolling out the Waves-HubSpot integration workflows, ensuring opportunities flow seamlessly through to invoicing

  • Partnered with Finance on improving revenue recognition processes and forecast accuracy for the North America region

Roles & responsibilities:

Manage Commercial Finance Function

  • Establish commercial finance as a core capability within the global finance team.

  • Define operating rhythms for partnering with Brand Partnerships, Client Services, Operations and Finance.

  • Build processes and templates for pricing, revenue forecasting, profitability analysis, and post-campaign evaluation and reconciliation.

  • Mentor and develop a Commercial Finance Analyst.

Revenue Forecasting, Planning & Performance

  • Support regional Presidents and Client Services with the annual and long-range revenue forecast across regions and revenue streams (managed service, creator fees, platform fees, licensing, etc.).

  • Partner with Brand Partnerships and Client Services to translate pipeline, booked campaigns, and delivery schedules into revenue projections leveraging HubSpot and agreed pipeline weightings.

  • Maintain and continuously enhance the forecasting model, ensuring alignment with financial planning cycles.

  • Build dashboards that track revenue, margin, and campaign performance KPIs.

Pricing, Scoping & Commercial Support

Provide real-time support to Brand Partnerships and Client Services teams on:

  • Pricing strategy and methods

  • Margin expectations

  • Creator economics

  • Global rate card governance

  • Cost-to-serve and delivery effort modeling

  • Create standardized pricing tools for global teams (including creator cost benchmarks, platform usage assumptions, and campaign-delivery margins).

  • Review and challenge scopes of work to ensure alignment with financial targets and desired or contractual commercial terms. .

Revenue Recognition & Finance Partnering

  • Ensure opportunities (HubSpot) -> projects/deliverables (Waves) -> invoicing and revenue (Finance) remain synchronized.

  • Partner with Finance on:

    • Revenue recognition in our accounting tool

    • Cut-off processes

    • Contract and PO completeness

    • Timely invoicing and WIP/billing status

  • Support the Finance team in implementing consistent and compliant revenue-recognition frameworks under IFRS.

Systems, Data & Process Excellence (Waves & HubSpot)

  • Serve as the finance data owner for HubSpot and Waves.

  • Ensure all client, creator, rate, scope, contract, and delivery data is accurately recorded and maintained.

  • Help design workflows for the Waves-HubSpot integration—including:

    • Opportunity to Project creation

    • Budget allocation and burn

    • Deliverable tracking

    • Automated revenue schedules where possible

  • Support the broader transformation agenda toward unified CRM → PM → Finance workflows.

Performance Analysis & Decision Support

  • Produce weekly/monthly insights for executive and senior leadership teams covering:

    • Revenue trends

    • Campaign performance vs. budget

    • Margin erosion analysis

    • Client-level profitability

    • Creator-level unit economics

  • Lead financial analysis before commercial negotiations with major brands/platforms.

  • Support make-buy decisions around creators, media, and external partners.

Financial Reporting

  • Act as the finance business partner to the regional President, Brand Partnerships, Client Services, Operations, and Product teams.

  • Work with FP&A on the preparation, interpretation, and presentation of monthly management accounts for the region (and individual business units), highlighting revenue performance, margins, client profitability, operational efficiency, and key commercial trends.

  • With the regional President present the regional management P&L to executive leadership, providing clear narrative, actionable insights, and commercially grounded recommendations.

  • Partner closely with the FP&A team to feed regional insights into the global forecast, ensuring pipeline updates, delivery schedules, workforce planning, and margin expectations are accurately reflected.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Influence

  • Act as the finance business partner to the regional President, Brand Partnerships, Client Services, Operations, and Product teams.

  • Provide training and support to non-finance teams to improve financial understanding and decision-making.

  • Represent Finance in pipeline meetings, scoping sessions, and operational stand-ups.

What you will need:

  • Strong commercial finance experience in creative/media/influencer agencies, digital platforms, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of revenue forecasting, pricing, margin management, and revenue recognition.

  • Strong modeling skills; able to translate commercial activity into financial outcomes.

  • Experience implementing or supporting CRM/PM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday, Asana, Trello, etc.) is a major plus.

  • Confident communicator and business partner.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-growth environment with evolving processes and systems.
