Senior Commercial Cloud Architect for Europe at Orange Business

Contract: Permanent
Business Area: Cloud – Pan-European Presales & Advisory
Location: Oslo, Stockholm, Brussels, or Amsterdam
Ways of Working and Travel: Hybrid; EU travel required 
Languages: Fluency in English; other European languages are a plus

The Senior Commercial Cloud Architect – Europe is pivotal in this mission. You guide European enterprises in building the right cloud environment to support growth in a market shaped by sovereignty demands, hybrid complexity,  and rising cost pressure. You lead cloud advisory engagements, design hybrid architectures, support presales cycles, and drive the development and rollout of our cloud advisory and transformation offers.

What you’ll do:

All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with

Cloud Advisory & Architecture

• Advise clients on cloud strategy, hybrid architecture and operating models. 

• Assess current-state architecture, maturity and cost across cloud and on-prem environments. 

• Define target cloud and hybrid architectures aligned to cost, performance, sovereignty, and compliance needs. 

• Identify optimization opportunities using FinOps principles and modernization levers. 

• Advise on sovereignty and locality requirements, including Azure Local where relevant. 

• Present clear recommendations to C-level and senior stakeholders. 

Presales & Commercial Support 

• Shape architectural direction and solution outlines for panEU opportunities. 

• Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, workshops and bid defense activities. 

• Translate business needs into commercially viable cloud architectures. 

• Position Orange Business cloud services clearly during client engagements. 

Offer Leadership & Thought Leadership 

• Act as a thought leader on hybrid cloud, architecture, and cloud economics. 

• Serve as offer lead for cloud advisory and transformation services. 

• Drive the development, industrialization and rollout of cloud advisory offers across countries. 

• Ensure adoption of offers by country teams and integrate field learnings into continuous improvement. 

• Develop reusable methods, tools, and best practices for the European cloud community.

Your technical expertise:

Experience 

• 5+ years in cloud advisory, architecture or presales roles. 

• Experience with hybrid (on-prem + public cloud) environments. 

• Exposure to LNA/MNC clients across Europe. 

• Confident engaging with senior and executive stakeholders. 

Skills 

• Strong knowledge of Azure (preferred) and on-prem infrastructure; awareness of AWS/GCP. 

• Ability to link business drivers to architecture and governance choices. 

• Understanding of cloud economics, sovereignty, governance and operating models. 

• Structured, concise and consultative communicator. 

• Fluent in English; other European languages a plus. 

Certifications 

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert 

• AWS Solutions Architect – Professional 

• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks 
  (Other relevant cloud or architecture certifications also valued.) 

Nice to Have 

• Experience with Azure Local or sovereignty-driven deployments. 

• FinOps experience or certification. 

• Experience in offer development or portfolio management.
