Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Auto No Fault / PIP Claims Adjuster to manage first-party medical claims arising from commercial auto losses. This role is responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and No Fault claims while ensuring compliance with applicable state regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, knowledge of commercial auto coverage, and the ability to effectively manage a high-volume caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of Commercial Auto No Fault / PIP claims from inception through closure.
  • Investigate claims by reviewing police reports, medical documentation, wage loss information, and coverage details.
  • Evaluate liability, damages, and compensability in accordance with state No Fault statutes and policy provisions.
  • Review and analyze medical bills, treatment plans, and provider documentation for reasonableness and necessity.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, attorneys, insureds, claimants, and vendors throughout the claims process.
  • Negotiate settlements and issue timely payments within regulatory guidelines.
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate suspicious claims as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate claim documentation and reserves in the claims management system.
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations, company policies, and service standards.
  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, examinations under oath (EUOs), or litigation support activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Commercial Auto, No Fault, or PIP claims handling experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of No Fault/PIP statutes, medical terminology, and claims investigation practices.
  • Experience handling bodily injury or medical-only auto claims.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Active adjuster license(s) preferred where required by state regulations.
  • Litigation exposure or arbitration experience is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial transportation, trucking, fleet, or public entity claims experience.
  • Experience reviewing medical billing and treatment utilization.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, fee schedules, and state-specific No Fault regulations.
