Job Purpose:
The Senior Collection Officer is responsible for supporting the billing, receivables, and collection processes by ensuring that invoices are issued accurately, and payments are collected on time. The role involves daily monitoring of customer accounts, maintaining records, following up on outstanding receivables, and coordinating with clients and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. The position is vital in contributing to the company’s cash flow and financial health through effective account management.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:1. Issue invoices to clients in accordance with contract terms and ensure timely delivery.2. Monitor aging reports and follow up with clients for pending payments.3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts receivable transactions.4. Contact customers through calls, emails, and official letters to remind them of payment due dates.5. Reconcile customer accounts, resolve payment discrepancies, and update client ledgers.6. Coordinate with the sales, legal, and project teams to resolve disputes and billing issues.7. Support the preparation of monthly AR reports and cash collection forecasts.8. Assist in the assessment of customer creditworthiness and provide input to management.9. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and VAT regulations.10. Provide documentation and support during audits related to receivables and collections.
Skills:• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and basic accounting principles• Excellent communication and customer service skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)• High attention to detail and organizational skills• Ability to manage time effectively and meet collection deadlines• Strong problem-solving abilities and abilities to work under pressure• Basic understanding of Saudi VAT regulations and contract billing
Experience and Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field• 4–6 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections• Experience in the real estate or construction industry is preferred• Familiarity with Saudi financial systems and practices is a plus• Proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred
