About the role

You will be the operational link between Bavarian Nordic and assigned CMOs, coordinating materials, products, systems, documentation, and supply plans to enable compliant manufacturing and reliable vaccine supply.

The role offers broad end-to-end exposure to external manufacturing, working across internal teams and external partners to solve operational challenges and continuously improve supply planning and execution.

This 2-year position, reporting to the Senior CMO Planning Manager, is based in Denmark, with a hybrid setup near Kvistgaard or fully remote within Denmark. Travel is approximately 10–20%, mainly within Europe with occasional trips to the US.

About the team

You will join a dedicated Global Planning team within our international Supply Chain organization. The role is highly cross-functional, connecting you with External Manufacturing, Quality, Packaging Artwork, Logistics, Production, Procurement, and Finance and giving you broad exposure to end-to-end pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply.

Your Responsibilities

You will ensure operational readiness and smooth execution across assigned CMOs by:

  • Coordinating supply activities to deliver approved plans and manufacturing schedules
  • Managing materials, samples, product flows, purchase orders, invoices, and manufacturing readiness
  • Acting as the main supply chain contact for CMOs and aligning internal and external stakeholders
  • Anticipating risks, resolving execution issues, and supporting compliant GMP operations
  • Driving improvements that increase efficiency, transparency, and operational excellence

Who you are

You understand supply chain operations, navigate complex manufacturing environments with confidence, and build effective relationships across functions and geographies.

You also bring:

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, external manufacturing, planning, or a similar role in pharma, biotech, or life sciences
  • Experience in GMP-regulated environments and knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and quality management systems
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • APICS certification such as CSCP or CPIM is an advantage

You are proactive, analytical, and comfortable taking ownership. You are able to connect the details with the bigger picture, collaborate well across cultures and functions, and look for smarter ways of working.

Why join Bavarian Nordic?

Make a visible impact on the global supply of life-saving vaccines. You will gain end-to-end CMO exposure, influence important processes, and turn ideas into practical improvements in a growing, purpose-driven organization.

Beyond this, we offer:

  • A collaborative workplace with colleagues across countries and functions
  • Opportunities for professional development and broad business exposure
  • Flexible working conditions, pension scheme, health insurance, competitive compensation package and bonus opportunities
  • A high-quality canteen with a wide selection and take-away options
  • Access to fitness discounts, massage scheme, and an active staff club with social and sporting events
