The International Customer Success Unit (iCSU) turns Global Account strategy into local execution. We provide customer success services that accelerate value realization for Microsoft’s most strategic, innovative, complex and globally operating customers. Join our expanding and culturally diverse iCSU EMEA team as a Cloud Solution Architect for Cloud & AI Infrastructure and help us deliver globally coordinated, connected customer experiences in the Era of AI. We’re seeking a Senior Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to drive large-scale and complex migration and modernization initiatives with the help of AI. You have deep expertise to lead migration and modernization programs the go across many Azure services, hybrid and multi-cloud setups and 1st party or 3rd party SaaS solutions. In this senior, customer-facing role, you’ll lead strategic technical engagements, advise C-level executives, and partner with Customer Success Account Managers and Customer Success Leaders to shape and execute cloud strategies that drive innovation and business value across the global entities of geographically complex clients . You’ll guide customers through architecture design, deployment and operational excellence of migration & modernization programs, building the secure, resilient and AI-ready application foundation on which they scale AI, agents and modern applications on Microsoft Azure.

You stand out for this position with significant experience leveraging AI for migration and modernization (agentic modernization) of landscapes that go across clouds, sovereign conversations and SaaS solutions. You courageously architect across all cloud services and engage the right SMEs at the right time. Thought leadership assisting our clients evolving their FinOps practices from consumption to a framework that covers consumption, licenses and tokens is an additional asset.

We support hybrid work with the ability to work from home part-time up to 60%, aligned to customer time zones, key collaboration moments and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical delivery for a defined set of strategic downstream entities, ensuring alignment with customer success plans and maximizing the value of customer investments.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor across the customer’s enterprise by helping technology and business leaders define Cloud and AI strategies, translate priorities into technical direction, and make informed architecture decisions that support long-term transformation outcomes.
• Lead customers from strategy to production-ready solutions by guiding architecture design across Azure, hybrid and multicloud, landing zones, networking, security, resiliency and AI infrastructure; applying the Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework; and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and ready for adoption.
• Accelerate customer value from Microsoft Azure investments by identifying migration, modernization and platform opportunities across the enterprise; resolving technical blockers; guiding high-impact engagements from concept through implementation; and helping customers realize measurable business outcomes faster.
• Orchestrate Microsoft and partner capabilities around customer priorities by coordinating with customer success, sales, engineering, specialist, partner and delivery teams across international downstream locations, aligning roles and responsibilities to deliver a connected, globally coordinated customer experience.
• Drive technical quality and customer trust across complex engagements by anticipating risks, validating architecture quality, reinforcing secure and resilient design patterns, and ensuring mission-critical workloads are optimized for performance, governance, reliability and operational excellence.
• Scale successful outcomes and strengthen the technical community by using repeatable IP, frameworks and automation; sharing adoption blockers, product feedback and field insights with engineering; maintaining deep expertise across priority infrastructure workloads; and mentoring others.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field and demonstrated experience in Cloud and AI platform technologies, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Cloud and AI technologies and solutions, including areas such as Azure architecture, AI and agents, GitHub, Agentic DevOps, AI agent development, data platforms, application modernization, resiliency, security, and production-scale cloud delivery.
• Experience in relevant technology disciplines such as IT consulting or support, systems administration, network operations, software development or support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.
• Demonstrated experience driving large-scale migrations through the architecture and implementation of enterprise-grade Azure infrastructure solutions, including landing zones, networking and security, compute, storage, hybrid and multicloud environments, and business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Business fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing technical roles and leading complex technical projects
• Relevant technical certifications in cloud, AI, architecture, security, data, or related technologies.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud migration or application modernization initiatives, including the use of AI to improve engineering or delivery outcomes.
• Experience with cloud consumption, token and license management, and FinOps practices.
• Experience working with global customers and coordinating technical delivery across countries and teams.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 79,700.00 - £ 133,900.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Spain is € 71,400.00 - € 149,500.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
