Allied Global is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with strong AWS and DevOps expertise to help scale and support a high-impact, AI-powered platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving system reliability, and driving best practices across cloud operations.

What You'll Do

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Design, implement, and continuously improve AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build scalable, secure, and highly available environments.
• Manage production systems supporting critical healthcare operations.
• Ensure platform performance, reliability, and operational readiness.

DevOps & Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments and releases.
• Implement deployment, rollback, and environment promotion strategies.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using industry-standard tools.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

Reliability & Monitoring

• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Establish proactive alerting and performance optimization strategies.
• Lead incident response efforts and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Continuously improve system uptime and resilience.

Security & Compliance

• Apply AWS security best practices across infrastructure and services.
• Manage networking, access controls, permissions, and secrets management.
• Support secure environments handling sensitive healthcare data.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with software engineers and technical teams to streamline deployments.
• Improve developer experience through tooling and automation.
• Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

Cloud & DevOps

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments.
• Proven experience designing and supporting highly available systems.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Infrastructure & Operations

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Monitoring
  • Logging
  • Observability
  • Incident Management
• Experience supporting distributed systems and microservices architectures.

Security & Networking

• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Experience managing networking, permissions, access control, and infrastructure security.

Professional Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of platform reliability.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Languages

• Advanced Spanish (required).
• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level for communication with stakeholders and technical teams.

Nice to Have

• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience supporting AI-driven applications or modern data platforms.
• Experience within regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or enterprise software.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Python, or Java environments.
