Job Description

We're opening eyes, hearts and minds to the impact that a pharmacy team can have in changing lives.

Join our group of talented, committed team members-pharmacists, pharmacy care coordinators, technologists, product strategists and more-to create and expand the delivery of personalized health support that people didn't even know could be possible.

The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer for Stellus Rx will be a key member of our Technology Team, working closely with Stellus Rx leaders and across the organization to unlock the health of millions of Americans. We are a culture that is unabashedly driven by purpose — making a difference to patients and team members while growing at an accelerated rate.

This role is built for a cloud engineer who uses AI as a core part of how they operate — automating infrastructure management, accelerating troubleshooting, and replacing manual operational toil with intelligent, AI-driven processes that keep systems reliable, secure, and cost-efficient.

Role and Responsibilities:

AI-Augmented Infrastructure as Code & Automation

  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — using AI code generation tools to accelerate Terraform authoring, validate configurations, and identify misconfigurations before deployment.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to continuously improve automation scripts and operational procedures, replacing manual, repetitive tasks with intelligent, self-correcting workflows.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, build, and deployment processes; leverage AI to optimize pipeline performance, detect bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
  • Stay current with AWS services, AI-powered cloud tooling, and industry best practices; proactively recommend new solutions and approaches to organizational leadership.

AI-Powered Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Incident Response

  • Use AI-enhanced monitoring and observability platforms to proactively detect performance degradation, cost anomalies, and infrastructure drift — replacing reactive, manual monitoring with intelligent alerting and automated remediation.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to AWS infrastructure and application deployments using AI-assisted root cause analysis — reducing mean time to resolution by accelerating log analysis, pattern recognition, and diagnosis.
  • Monitor system performance and use AI-generated insights to recommend and implement corrective actions before issues impact availability or cost targets.
  • Execute and troubleshoot cloud application deployment procedures across PaaS and SaaS methodologies, using AI tools to validate deployment health and surface post-deployment anomalies quickly.

Cloud Security & Compliance

  • Implement environmental security processes and compliance auditing using AI-enhanced tooling to continuously monitor for policy violations, security drift, and OWASP-related vulnerabilities — rather than relying on point-in-time manual audits.
  • Oversee the selection of orchestration tooling and compliance reporting frameworks; use AI to streamline audit evidence generation and reduce manual compliance overhead.
  • Apply OWASP security principles throughout infrastructure design and CI/CD pipeline configuration; use AI-assisted security scanning to identify and remediate risks at speed.

Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, correct, and enhance software tools and systems operations with a focus on automation and cost minimization; use AI-driven cost analysis tools to surface waste, right-size resources, and model optimization scenarios.
  • Implement and maintain processes designed to measure system effectiveness and identify areas for improvement — using AI to automate performance baselining and anomaly detection across the environment.
  • Document current environment and maintain ongoing documentation using AI-assisted drafting tools to reduce manual documentation burden and improve accuracy.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and support staff to ensure continuous and reliable delivery of service.
  • Create and share best practices with teammates, including standards for AI-assisted cloud operations workflows across the team.
  • Provide clear, concise communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders on infrastructure status, incidents, and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, Software Development, Database Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with AI-powered cloud operations or AIOps platforms (e.g., AWS DevOps Guru, Dynatrace, Datadog AI, or similar).
  • Experience using AI code generation tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) for IaC and scripting workflows.
  • Experience with AI-driven cloud cost optimization tools (e.g., AWS Cost Anomaly Detection, CloudHealth, or similar).
  • Relevant AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator).
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • High English proficiency
