Senior Cloud Native Platform Engineer

Location: Antwerp, Belgium (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 22 June 2026 – 15 July 2027
Workload: Full-time (100%)
Remote Work: Hybrid working available

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Native Platform Engineer to strengthen a DevOps team responsible for the continuous evolution, automation, and optimization of a modern application and platform landscape.

You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-native platforms and software delivery processes. The focus of this position is on automation, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and improving the reliability, security, and scalability of mission-critical applications.

As a senior technical expert, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to architectural decisions, promote knowledge sharing, and drive continuous improvement through DevOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native platform solutions.
• Automate infrastructure and application delivery pipelines.
• Build and optimize CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions.
• Manage and support Kubernetes-based production environments.
• Improve platform observability, monitoring, and performance.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Support the reliability, scalability, and security of critical applications.
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to foster a DevOps culture.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across platform engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• Minimum 5 years of experience with cloud-native platforms or similar technologies.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Proven experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
• Strong experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
• Solid knowledge of Grafana for monitoring and observability.
• Fluent Dutch language skills ( CEFR C2 level).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience with Prometheus for metrics collection and monitoring.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
