Roles & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud & Enterprise Architect to join our Center of Excellence for Cloud Professional Services.

In this role, you will provide architectural leadership across cloud assessments, solution design, cloud build activities and architecture reviews for customer solutions and platforms. You will help shape the future architecture direction of our Cloud Professional Services organization by driving standardization, operational excellence, automation and AI-enabled engineering practices.

You will work across architecture, engineering and operations teams to establish scalable approaches, guide strategic technology decisions and ensure that innovation initiatives translate into sustainable and reusable capabilities for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Solution Design

  • Lead cloud assessments, solution architecture and design activities for customer solutions and platforms.

  • Guide the definition of scalable, secure and operationally effective cloud architectures.

  • Support design-to-operation transitions and ensure architectural decisions can be sustained in long-term operations.

  • Provide trusted consulting and technical guidance to delivery, engineering and operations teams.

Enterprise Architecture & Standardization

  • Define and evolve architecture principles, standards and governance practices for Cloud Professional Services.

  • Drive consistency across architecture, automation, AI-assisted engineering and operational excellence initiatives.

  • Establish common integration patterns and scalable approaches for shared services and operational capabilities.

  • Facilitate architectural alignment across teams, stakeholders and technology domains.

Architecture Reviews & Operational Excellence

  • Lead architecture reviews for solutions in delivery and operations.

  • Evaluate architectures regarding security, maintainability, cost optimization and automation maturity.

  • Drive continuous improvement through actionable architectural guidance and governance.

  • Promote engineering practices that improve operational efficiency and service reliability.

AI-Augmented Engineering & Innovation

  • Drive the adoption of AI-assisted approaches that augment architects, engineers and operations teams.

  • Evaluate emerging AI, automation and agentic framework capabilities for practical application within cloud services.

  • Define scalable patterns for AI-supported architecture reviews, design activities and operational workflows.

  • Support the evolution of intelligent operational capabilities including incident response, automation and engineering productivity improvements.

Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor for architecture, platform and operational topics.

  • Mentor architects and engineers while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.

  • Translate complex technical topics into clear recommendations for both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Build alignment across global teams and drive architecture decisions through influence and collaboration.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or architecture roles.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Deep expertise in designing secure, scalable and resilient solutions on at least one major public cloud platform (Azure preferred).

  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, networking, security and operational design principles.

  • Understanding of architecture governance and architecture review methodologies

  • Experience defining architecture principles, standards and reusable engineering practices.

  • Solid understanding of incident response, automation and service lifecycle management.

  • Experience evaluating AI-enabled solutions, proof of concepts or engineering productivity capabilities.

  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning, with the ability to translate emerging technology trends into practical engineering solutions.

  • Strong stakeholder management, consulting and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, OpenShift, container platforms and cloud-native operating models.

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies such as Terraform, Helm or similar tools.

  • Experience with GitOps, CI/CD and modern platform engineering practices.

  • Experience with OSS observability technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus and Loki including OpenTelemetry framework.

  • Knowledge of FinOps, cloud governance, security architecture or compliance-related practices.
