Job Description

This role requires both technical depth and the ability to collaborate effectively on design decisions, drive cloud initiatives, improve operational reliability, and provide guidance on cloud technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with technical teams on cloud design decisions and implementation approaches for Azure-based solutions.

· Develop and implement cloud strategies with a strong emphasis on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

· Lead efforts to migrate existing infrastructure and applications to cloud environments.

· Create and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations across all environments.

· Collaborate with software development and AI teams to ensure seamless deployments of cloud-native applications.

· Troubleshoot, resolve, and help improve complex issues in pre-production and production environments.

· Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on cloud technologies and best practices.

· Define cloud governance and ensure adherence to standards across the organization.

· Continuously evaluate and improve operational monitoring, reliability, and environment performance.

· Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in cloud technologies.

Qualifications/Skills

Required:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.

· 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering across networking, storage, compute, and platform services in Microsoft Azure.

· Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.

· Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks.

· Strong knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

· Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.

· Expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins,.

· Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or the ELK stack.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on tasks and projects.

· Excellent communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

· Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

· Understanding of data security and privacy requirements; experience in the financial industry is a plus.

Preferred:

· Relevant cloud certifications, with a preference for Azure certifications.

· Experience managing complex projects.

· A track record of building strong collaborative relationships across an organization.

· Experience with SSPM and/or CSPM technologies.

· Experience with cloud infrastructure cost management, optimization, and efficiency.

· A track record of delivering projects that support strategic business goals.

· A foundational understanding of financial markets and various trading instruments, or a willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing large-scale cloud solutions with a focus on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency. They should be passionate about staying current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices in Infrastructure as Code and DevOps methodologies.
