Senior Cloud Architect (AWS)

Location

Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)

We are looking for experienced Senior Cloud Architects to support the design, implementation, security, and operation of a large-scale hybrid cloud environment. You will work alongside internal infrastructure and service delivery teams to establish a secure, scalable, and compliant AWS cloud foundation while promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design and implement a secure and scalable AWS landing zone.
• 
  Define and manage AWS organizational structures using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and CloudFormation).
• 
  Implement and manage Service Control Policies (SCPs).
• 
  Configure AWS Identity Center and integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) with external identity providers.
• 
  Ensure compliance with security and governance frameworks, including NIS2 and ISO 27001.
• 
  Define and enforce data classification, encryption, and security policies.
• 
  Design and implement logging, monitoring, archiving, and backup strategies.
• 
  Establish secure connectivity between AWS environments and on-premises data centers.
• 
  Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• 
  Develop reusable Terraform templates and cloud "golden paths."
• 
  Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  Expert-level experience with AWS cloud services and architecture.
• 
  Strong expertise in:

  • 
    Cloud Security
  • 
    GitLab
  • 
    Kubernetes
  • 
    Java
  • 
    Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• 
  Experience designing and operating hybrid cloud environments.
• 
  Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• 
  Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and platform engineering.

Certifications
