About This Role

As a Cloud Architect you will help drive the technologies, designs, and solutions to enable large scale multi-cloud governance, advance DevOps automation, and the associate self-service capabilities necessary to ensure that Carrier operates efficiently, securely, and financially well-managed in the public cloud space. This position will be a key contributor in the success and rapid growth of public cloud usage at Carrier.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Evaluate architectures and provide recommendations for improvements on AWS and Azure solutions.
• Facilitate the migration of complex, multi-tiered applications to both AWS and Azure.
• Advocate and implement industry best practices for cloud security and compliance across both platforms.
• Develop automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of cloud services across AWS and Azure.
• Monitor, manage, and maintain reliability and performance metrics for cloud environments.
• Provide training and guidance to other team members on AWS and Azure, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with Cyber security teams to manage cloud governance and to troubleshoot any issues promptly.
• Maintain a cost-efficient strategy for the deployment of services on both cloud platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of IT experience
• 5+ years of experience in a cloud architect role, with a demonstrated track record on either AWS or Azure.
• AWS or Azure certified

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-cloud architecture and deployment strategies.
• Expertise in implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on both AWS and Azure.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or Terraform.
