About our service:

headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

This position holds a senior role within the SE QLD headspace Early Psychosis Cluster (partnering with Lives Lived Well). You will be responsible for representing the Meadowbrook CCT team in all partnership activities, and may contribute and/or lead a range of service/quality improvement activities across the partnership - inclusive of Community Awareness and Education activities

Requirements:

  • Must have one of the following: AHPRA registration as a General/Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist OR Nurse OR AASW eligibility/registration as a Social Worker
  • Sound knowledge of and, ideally, experience in working with complex young people who have experienced a first episode psychosis and their families in both a case management and therapeutic role
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively plan and coordinate individualised psychological interventions to meet the needs of young people with psychosis based on a case formulation approach
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality assessment and evidence-based psychosocial interventions, within a stress-vulnerability and recovery framework for young people
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of early psychosis rationale and principles including the developmental stages of young people and the impact that a first episode of psychosis has on development
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and function autonomously as a senior while being able to effectively work in a multidisciplinary team
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with team members, other professionals and external agencies
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
