The Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst (SCIA) is responsible for driving the development and execution of the Optum Clinical Groups content in alignment with the product and content strategy to meet Optum Insight financial and operational targets. The SCIA develops content to meet multi product clinical content deliverables that satisfy customer and business requirements. In addition to content development management, this position is responsible to meet strategic clinical cross-functional business needs that drive product related operational success. The person in this role will not be responsible for people management tasks such as professional development planning and performance management.

Primary Responsibility:

• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Education/Training - R.N. (with a professional license in good standing)
• Business Experience - 10+ years of clinical experience as a practicing nurse
• 2+ years of experience in Utilization Review, preferably with Optum Physician Advisor Services or a similar Utilization Review services vendor
• 2+ years of clinical content development experience, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of case management, commercial insurers, Managed Medicare, and Traditional Medicare processes and patient status requirements
• Knowledge of Clinical Document Improvement (CDI) requirements to support DRG validation research

Preferred Qualification:

• Healthcare Information Technology (IT) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
