Hours Per Week: 40-hour/week
Hiring range: $72,092.80 to $108,368.00
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
  • Participates and/or leads in the improvements and developments of workflows within both the hospital and the ambulatory environments, as it pertains to clinical applications.
  • Develops, implements, maintains and supports the continued optimization of the clinical modules of the EMR, to streamline workflow for staff and meet provider needs.
  • Support of clinical interfaces, both internal and external to the hospital.
  • Support of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for performance enhancement.
  • Successfully troubleshoots clinical application issues that can be highly complex.
  • Works with the various department leads to determine operational needs and improve processes.
  • Provides consultative advice to departmental and organizational leadership, and guidance to others within the IS Department.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of available clinical application enhancements and requirements to facilitate improvements.
  • Performs testing of new applications, workflows, and EMR system enhancements prior to go-live. Responsible for application deployment, process improvement, and change documentation.
  • Works closely with clients to explain business and technical issues, while responding to user issues.
  • Coordinates projects, daily tasks, and other duties as assigned by possessing a comprehensive understanding of project management disciplines

Requirements:

  • Must possess strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be comfortable with providing technical assistance both remotely and in person.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of clinical application experience required. Specifically, with the Meditech EMR product line.
  • Meditech Expanse experience a plus
