As a Senior Clinic RN in Hematology Oncology, you’ll be at the forefront of compassionate, specialized care, supporting patients through some of their most challenging journeys. The Senior Clinic RN provides comprehensive nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care environment based on individual physical, emotional, spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. This position facilitates care coordination by using the nursing process to assess, identify, plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of care and teaching needs via direct and telephonic/telehealth or electronic encounters. This role works in collaboration with other members of the health care team. This position serves in a coaching and mentoring role to staff while functioning as a working member of the department and may be assigned in a specialty care area. The Clinic RN maintains compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements and supports clinicians in delivering quality health care to patients. Actions will reflect the organization's core values.
Integrates nursing process in carrying out effective patient care and leadership roles. Utilizes a collegial and systematic approach to nursing practice. Ensures efficiency through active participation of quality assurance, process improvement, infection control and staff development program initiatives and oversight. Adheres to state regulatory and compliance guidelines. Provides specialized care in an assigned specialty department, utilizes critical thinking skills, experience, knowledge, and demonstrated competency in patient pre-admission screenings, preadmit, intra-procedure and recovery of patients.
