Senior Client Payroll Specialist / Team Leader

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Work setup: Hybrid after onboarding period (3:2)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Client Payroll Specialist / Team Leader with a strong service mindset and a passion for payroll operations, client management, and team leadership.

This role is part of our Payroll team, delivering outsourced payroll services primarily to international clients, often in collaboration with colleagues across other service teams. In addition to managing payroll operations, you will take on a key role in supporting, guiding, and developing team members while ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll administration for multiple clients, including:
    • Processing payroll data
    • Handling payslips
    • Supporting salary payments
    • Reporting and reconciliations
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring high service quality and client satisfaction
  • Manage, support and guide team members in daily operations, acting as a subject matter expert within payroll
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems, and workflows
  • Assist clients with HR-related matters such as:
    • Pension administration
    • Sick leave management
    • Reimbursements
  • Lead or contribute to the implementation of new clients and onboarding processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and other service teams to ensure seamless service delivery

About You

  • Solid experience within payroll administration, ideally in an international environment
  • Experience in a senior, mentoring, or team lead capacity is a strong advantage
  • Strong understanding of Danish labour laws and payroll-related regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills. Experience with Epos is a plus
  • Strong interest in systems, implementations, and process improvements
  • Fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken
