Assistant Manager – Accounting

Shift: 9am to 6pm (SGT)
Intro:
Reporting to Team Manager of Accounting team, you shall oversee diverse range of administrative and financial responsibilities for accounting mandates of our clients. You will work closely with our local and offshore teams in an effective manner to motivate and coach the team, to continuously meet clients‘expectations, to optimize the work process and to maintain close contacts with clients.
You will be key member of the team spearheading the accounting, book-keeping, and administration support activities of corporate clients. You will support the Directors – Accounting, Payroll and Tax to plan and coordinate client deliverables and manage deadlines. In addition to strong corporate accounting knowledge, the role also requires strong client management and team working skills.
Some of the things you’ll be doing:
Coordinate and manage all accounting aspects of assigned client’s portfolios
Oversee and work with a team of accounting professional in daily accounting duties
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and potential clients
Contribute and identify opportunity to market our service to potential clients and support team to achieve revenue target
Ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met for all clients
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, polices and principles
Review and ensure the management accounts and the financial statements are properly drawn up in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
Prepare and review of group consolidated financial statements
Support teams with answering complex accounting matters and queries
Liaising directly with auditors and managing audit process to ensure deadlines are met
Conduct sharing or training session on technical aspects to team
Support in Continuous assessment of procedures and control and implementing process improvement as necessary
Coaching junior staff to achieve team and company goal as well as individual performance standards

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
Required level and content of education:
Possess CPA with a recognized accounting body or ACCA or its equivalent
Business experience required:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional accounting firm handling accounting and payroll matter
Hands on experiences in handling full set of accounts with sound groundings in accounting principles
Well-versed in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and local GAAP
Analytical, meticulous, motivated, and keen to take hand on experience
Possess professional qualities with good communication, interpersonal skills and team working skills
Experience in managing service delivery and client management is preferred
Experience with a corporate service provider is an advantage but not essential
Language skills/other skills required:
Fluent in English and Chinese
Payroll and Accounting software, MS Office
