The Opportunity

We are lookingfor a Senior Client Accountant to join our Client Accounting teamas part of our financial services businessin Grand Cayman.

If not already completed, training and development will be provided with the expectation that the successful candidate will be willing to complete an internationally recognised accounting designation. The Maples Group is able to provide education assistance to support.

The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Caymanteamyou will be responsible for:

• Providing accounting, financial reporting and administration services to a variety of financial services clients, including structured finance vehicles, trusts and investment funds.

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

• a university degree, preferably in economics, accounting, finance or business administration;
• if not already completed, be willing tocomplete an internationally recognised accounting designation (e.g. CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent);
• an understanding of accounting principles, such as US GAAP andor IFRS; and
• experience in a role primarily providing accounting, financial statement compilation or audit services.

Key skills for this role are as follows:

• attention to detail, professionalism, and a team-first mentality;

• sound working knowledge of all Windows applications;
• experience with client service;
• time management, prioritization and communication skills, both verbal and written; and
• ability to work in a dynamic environment.
