Shift: Weekdays 9am-5:30pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English; writing, speaking, reading & understanding.
  • Must have basic computer skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year clerical experience (college education/vocational training can substitute for required training).

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor and will provide professional administrative support, specific to Nursing department within a state veteran nursing home.
  • Assists the Medical Records and Nursing with administrative and clerical functions;
    • Creating documents
    • Maintaining files
    • Uploadng files to the EMR
    • Scanning
  • Works independently, exercises judgment with self-discipline, and takes appropriate action.
  • Will communicate with others to obtain and verify information.
  • Provide relief for other clerical staff within the home.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

This position is Carerer Service position.
