Senior Workers' Compensation Adjuster – Idaho

Location: Remote (Idaho Preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Adjuster to manage a caseload of Idaho workers' compensation claims from inception through closure. This role is responsible for investigating claims, determining compensability, managing medical and indemnity benefits, coordinating return-to-work efforts, and handling litigated matters while maintaining compliance with Idaho workers' compensation regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a caseload of Idaho workers' compensation claims, including lost-time and indemnity files.
  • Conduct investigations and determine compensability based on available facts and applicable statutes.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves throughout the life of the claim.
  • Coordinate medical treatment plans and facilitate return-to-work programs.
  • Manage litigated claims in partnership with defense counsel and other vendors.
  • Evaluate claim exposure and negotiate settlements within authority levels.
  • Maintain proactive communication with injured workers, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and clients.
  • Ensure timely claim documentation, diary management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while meeting quality and productivity standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Workers' Compensation claims handling experience.
  • Experience handling lost-time, indemnity, and litigated workers' compensation claims.
  • Knowledge of Idaho workers' compensation laws and claim handling practices preferred.
  • Strong investigation, reserving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Idaho Workers' Compensation claims experience.
  • Multi-jurisdictional workers' compensation background.
  • Carrier or TPA experience.
  • Experience handling complex and litigated claims.
