Our client, a leading semi-state organisation, is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join their Networks Civil & Environmental Engineering team.
This role will focus on delivering civil and structural design solutions across major infrastructure projects, supporting the transition to a low-carbon energy future.
You will play a key role in leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across medium to large-scale infrastructure projects
• Act as Civil & Structural lead on assigned projects, overseeing design, review and delivery
• Deliver civil and structural design from concept through to detailed design and construction stages
• Manage scoping, procurement and preparation of design packages
• Oversee civil works contracts and coordinate contractors and sub-consultants
• Provide technical guidance ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations
• Support statutory compliance, including acting as PSDP shadow
• Identify and manage design and construction risks, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
• Support team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing
Requirements
Essential:
• Level 8 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a consultancy or similar environment
• Experience delivering projects within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant industry standards
• Experience with design and analysis software
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Full driving licence
Desirable:
• Level 9 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards
