Our Civil Engineering team delivers a broad range of services across transport infrastructure projects, including site selection and planning, earthworks, site grading and alignment geometry, drainage modelling, spatial and digital terrain modelling, and flood impact assessments. The team supports projects across road and rail environments. We are looking to expand our team and welcome a Senior Civil Drafter to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects in civil and rail. In this role, you will take ownership of producing and managing high-quality design drawings across multiple project phases, contributing to projects delivered in line with Australian standards. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and review high-quality civil drawings using AutoCAD or Microstation across design, construction, and as-built phases
  • Lead drawing delivery for packages of work, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Prepare and issue drawing and documentation sets in line with project and client requirements
  • Manage drawing registers, document control, and file management processes
  • Maintain and contribute to drawing databases and standard detail libraries
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and broader project teams to coordinate deliverables
  • Liaise with the CAD Manager and Lead Designer to ensure drafting standards and workflows are met
  • Ensure all drawings comply with Australian standards, authority requirements, and internal quality procedures

About You

You are an experienced Senior Civil Drafter with strong proficiency in AutoCAD or Microstation and a solid background in civil and rail infrastructure projects. Experience with OpenRoads, or Civil 3D is advantageous but not essential. You hold an Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification, such as a Diploma (D3) in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognised tertiary institution. You bring a strong understanding of road and rail authority requirements and are comfortable working to Australian codes and standards. You are detail-oriented, take pride in producing high-quality work, and are confident working in fast-paced project environments. You are collaborative, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and are well organised with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
