WSP’s Mine Tailings business consists of mine waste and tailings professionals who design and deliver specialised tailings and mine waste management projects. We are seeking a Senior Civil CAD Designer to join our high performing Mine Advisory team based in Perth, who will be responsible for delivering high-quality 2D and 3D civil and mining infrastructure design documentation, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and quality standards.

1. As a Senior Civil CAD Designer, you’ll:

• Coordinate design and documentation activities with other engineering and drafting disciplines and broader project teams.
• Carry out assigned project and CAD design work (both 2D and 3D) as an integral part of project teams, adhering to agreed technical and commercial standards.
• Undertake three-dimensional modelling on a range of civil and mining infrastructure projects and perform quantity analyses.
• Support and direct the preparation of detailed engineering drawings across all project phases, including concept design, detailed design, tender issue, construction issue, and as-constructed documentation.
• Support the development and training of early career designers and engineers through mentoring and technical guidance.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate a strong commitment to team-based delivery and outcomes.
• Provide continuous improvement input to enhance team workflows, efficiency, and quality of design outputs.
• Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and improvement of CAD technical standards and workflows, alongside being responsible for maintaining these standards.
