The Role


Our Water Infrastructure team is looking for a talented Senior Civil Designer to design, coordinate and take the lead on project delivery for various Water Infrastructure projects both locally and nationally.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary water team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of major capital projects and facility upgrades that support both local and ANZ-wide initiatives. Our team works across the full water cycle, delivering impactful projects such as:

  • Major pipelines
  • Large pumping stations
  • Advanced water, wastewater, and recycling treatment plants

With a minimum of 7 years' experience in a hands-on capacity, you will play a key role in:

  • Concept design and delivery of water infrastructure projects using Civil 3D and AutoCAD
  • Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
  • Build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally and contribute to effective client relationship management
  • Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of project deliverables

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Advanced Diploma
  • 7+ years industry experience working with an engineering design consultancy
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
  • Water infrastructure project experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian design standards and local regulations
  • Relevant working rights
