As a Senior Civil Design Technician, you will contribute to the design and delivery of a wide range of civil infrastructure projects, including municipal services, roadways, drainage systems, underground utilities, and site development. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams, you will help transform concepts into practical technical solutions.
Your Role
Reporting to a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the technical development and execution of projects, from design through delivery support.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and model a variety of civil infrastructure projects, including water and sewer networks, roadways, drainage systems, parking lots, and municipal or industrial site developments
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Support quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical specification preparation
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and electrical teams
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and site personnel to ensure quality, accuracy, and project alignment
• Maintain and update technical documentation and compliance-related project records
• Conduct occasional site visits for field measurements, validation, or construction support
What We’re Looking For
• Diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline
• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)
• Solid understanding of Québec standards, codes, and best practices related to municipal civil infrastructure
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and technical rigor
• Excellent French communication skills, both written and spoken
Nice to Have
• Experience with complementary design software such as Revit, MicroStation, or similar tools
• Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects or collaborating with municipalities in the Greater Montréal area
• Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment
