Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Civil BIM Technician to support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects from their office in Blackrock, with the flexibility of three days working from home. This is a hybrid role focused on the coordination and development of BIM models for large-scale infrastructure works. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, model integrity, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. To be successful, the ideal candidate will have strong experience in civil BIM delivery, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage BIM models for civil infrastructure projects using industry-standard software.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
• Produce detailed drawings, schedules, and documentation from BIM models.
• Implement and maintain BIM standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.
• Support project teams with clash detection, model reviews, and design coordination.
• Assist in the integration of survey data and GIS information into BIM workflows.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior technicians and team members.
• Collaborate with external consultants and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in BIM technologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar BIM Technician role within civil or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and construction processes.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
