Help shape the future of aviation infrastructure across Canada. As a Senior Civil 3D Designer (Aviation), you will play a key role in the design and delivery of major airport and airside infrastructure projects. Leveraging your technical expertise and aviation experience, you will lead complex design initiatives, mentor team members, and drive innovative solutions that enhance connectivity, safety, and operational performance at airports across the country.

Your Impact

  • Lead the development of advanced Civil 3D models, drawings, and design packages for complex aviation infrastructure projects.
  • Deliver innovative airside and landside design solutions, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage, and utility systems.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of civil, structural, electrical, and environmental project components.
  • Guide the technical quality of design deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable airport standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Support airport expansion, modernization, and rehabilitation projects that strengthen transportation networks and community connectivity.
  • Mentor junior designers and technologists, fostering technical excellence and professional growth within the team.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop practical, cost-effective solutions that support long-term operational success.
  • Champion digital delivery best practices and innovative design approaches that improve project efficiency and outcomes.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience using Autodesk Civil 3D on transportation or aviation infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience designing airport infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, terminal-area developments, and associated civil works.
  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, pavement design, and site development principles.
  • Proven ability to lead design coordination efforts across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada, ICAO, FAA, and airport authority design standards is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in project delivery.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 – $138,000

MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 – $124,900
