We are seeking aSeniorChemical Engineerto take technical ownership of the utility and support systems that enable our production processes. You willbe a member ofthe Process Engineering team but work closely withfacilities,equipment, and EHSteams. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoyshands-onproblem solving, system design, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of gas and liquid handling infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensuresafe, compliant, and reliable design, installation, modification, and operationof utilityand support systems that interface with chemical processes, including those involving hazardous gases, treatment systems, and recycleroutes
  • Lead or support utility‑related projects from concept through commissioning, including design input, vendor engagement, contractor coordination, installation oversight, and system qualification
  • Conduct engineering evaluations, safety reviews, and hazard assessments to ensure systems meet internal and regulatory expectations
  • Troubleshoot utility and process‑support systems, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Identifyand drive improvements in system reliability, performance, maintainability, and capacity
  • Develop, revise, andmaintainengineering documentation such as P&IDs, piping layouts, specifications, and standards
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering, Facilities,Equipment, and EHSteamsto align utility capabilities with production needs and safety requirements
  • Contribute to long‑term planning for utility infrastructure, including upgrades, expansions, and standardization

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Experience working with fluid or mechanical systems in an industrial, R&D, or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to develop, revise, andmarkupengineering drawings (P&IDs, piping layouts, specifications)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems and apply sound engineering judgment
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, or external service providers
  • Experience applyingProcess Safety Management practices, including hazard analysis, formal change management, and safe system design, startup, and operation
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, facilities, and EHS teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects with minimal oversight
  • Exposure to commissioning, startup, or qualification of new equipment or infrastructure
  • Understanding of reliability concepts, maintenance strategies, or engineering standards
  • Knowledge of relevant engineering codes or industry practices

Our pay and benefits

  • $130,000 – $150,000, depending on experience
