Salary Range: Band 7 $132,572 - $144,942 + Superannuation

Work type: Temporary Full-time

Duration: Up to 3 years

Our Branch

The Business Improvement branch brings together planning, insights and innovation to shape how Public Transport Services evolves. The team focuses on supporting change, improving ways of working and helping teams successfully adopt new processes and approaches.

The Role

This role focuses on supporting and delivering change across Public Transport Services. You will work closely with leaders and teams to understand impacts, support readiness and help embed new ways of working into day-to-day operations

It is a great opportunity for someone who has experience in change or transformation and is looking to step into a more senior role with greater ownership and influence.

In this role, you will:

  • Plan and deliver change projects and initiatives to achieve agreed outcomes
  • support and deliver change initiatives that improve how teams operate
  • work with stakeholders to understand impacts and support readiness for change
  • develop and deliver communication, engagement and adoption activities
  • coordinate activities across teams to support smooth implementation of change
  • monitor progress and provide clear updates on change outcomes and risks
  • identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies related to change
  • support project activities where required to enable successful delivery
  • provide guidance to support officers to build consistent change practices
  • contribute to improving change approaches, tools and ways of working
  • build strong relationships to support adoption and sustained outcomes

To be successful you will have:

  • experience delivering change initiatives with accountability for outcomes in a complex environment
  • practical experience applying change management approaches to support adoption
  • strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • ability to translate change impacts into clear and practical actions
  • strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • sound problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

  • experience leading or owning components of change initiatives end-to-end
  • formal training or certification in change management (for example Prosci or similar)
  • experience working in operational or service delivery environments
  • exposure to project delivery in a change or transformation context
