Job Description

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral health issues. The Senior Centralized Scheduler will provide scheduling procedures that promote effective treatment practices, efficient programming, and comprehensive service availability to the patients we serve. The Senior Centralized Scheduler will work on a Full-Time basis out of Helio Health’s CCBHC Outpatient program.

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, Full-Time hires for this position are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500!

Pay $23.00.00 - $27.00/hr.

Working Relationships

  • Takes direction from the Team Leader and/or Clinic Director and keeps them informed regarding content and volume of workload.
  • Communicates with staff regarding Quality Assurance.
  • Works with patients, internal and external community agencies and organizations.
  • Works with Centralized Schedulers in a trainer and mentor capacity.

Responsibilities

  • The Senior Centralized Scheduler position will greet each patient cordially and professionally in person and on phone.
  • Responsible for scheduling patient individual and medical sessions.
  • Maintain clinical and medical staff “will call” and “back-fill” lists and schedules accordingly.
  • Confirm status updates of patient appointments.
  • Performs Quality Assurance activities. to include but not limited to:
    • Provides services according to agency policies, procedures, program guidelines, and governmental regulations.
    • Evaluates program and identifies strengths/weaknesses.
    • Assists in problem resolution and implementation of supervisor approved program modifications.
  • Participates in program administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
  • Supports the onboarding and training of Centralized Scheduling staff.
  • Provides day to day coverage support and assists with rotation scheduling as needed.
  • Ensure all missed visit notes are completed weekly across staff calendars.
  • Act as primary point of contact in the absence of the Team Leader or Program/Clinic Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years employment experience in the Medical Records or Human Services field
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of the federal confidentiality laws relating to populations served
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment and cultural competency
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications
  • Ability to perform duties independently

Salary and hourly compensation ranges are provided in accordance with NYS law and are based on Helio Health's good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
