This role oversees the full administrative ecosystem of both the funeral home and cemetery, ensuring accuracy in ownership, arrangement, interment, and inventory records while supporting a high-volume, service-focused environment.

  • Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising funeral home and cemetery clerical and administrative staff as well as assisting sales, funeral directors and maintenance personnel in serving our internal and external client needs.
  • This position involves interaction with high level company contacts and requires the use of business vocabulary, tact, discretion, and judgment.
  • Ensure that a premier level of client satisfaction is provided that exceeds the expectations of any client family.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and productive working environment that motivates employees to strive for performance excellence.
  • Identify, implement and continuously improve the internal business practices that impact customer satisfaction, employee morale and financial performance.

Competencies:

  • Excellent Communication Skills (ability to communicate with Team and customers/clients)
  • Sales Experience (ability to use consultative selling techniques - customer/client focus)
  • Knowledge of current federal, state and local regulations related to the industry
  • Experience handling difficult situations with confidence and compassion
  • Ability to build long-lasting relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of products and services or ability to learn

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in an administrative supervisory or managerial role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Power Point).
