Here is what you will be doing each day:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Catering Sales Manager with a strong focus on the social market, especially weddings. The ideal candidate will bring proven wedding sales experience and a genuine passion for creating unforgettable events and exceptional client experiences.

Prior catering sales experience is required. Hotel catering sales experience is strongly preferred. Experience with Marriott systems and standards is a plus, but not required. This role typically follows a Tuesday through Saturday schedule; however, flexibility is essential based on business demands and client needs.

The Senior Catering Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing banquet food and beverage revenue, meeting room rental revenue, and guest room revenue, while consistently delivering exceptional service. This position works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the seamless execution of group and event experiences and to strengthen the hotel’s reputation in both the business and social markets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site inspections throughout the property
  • Managing account details to ensure prospecting, contracting, and closing activities are completed accurately and timely
  • Coordinating with hotel departments to ensure successful event execution
  • Developing and delivering compelling sales presentations
  • Meeting with and entertaining prospective clients
  • Identifying and generating new business opportunities
  • Designing customized menus and event packages
  • Preparing contracts, correspondence, and event documentation
  • Organizing all event-related arrangements for social and corporate functions
  • Overseeing event setup and execution to ensure all details are delivered to the highest standard
  • Maintaining clear and consistent communication with all departments to ensure exceptional service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Proven catering sales experience required
  • Strong wedding and social event sales experience strongly preferred
  • Hotel catering sales experience preferred
  • Marriott systems experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and how departments work together
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events and clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Strong ability to solicit business, meet client needs, and resolve concerns
