The role is high profile within the Dyson organisation and is a fantastic opportunity to take leadership of the media category with a global remit. The role sits within the Global Indirect procurement team & reports into the Head of Procurement – Marketing & Retail. To have success in this role you will need the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders on a global scale through all levels of the organisation including up to c-suite & board level, and also a strong interest and willingness to coach and develop more junior members of the team.

Responsibilities
Performance manage our global Media Agency of record across the four pillars of performance.
Develop and continually review robust, forward looking global category strategies based on business needs taking into account regional and local differences.
Run RFPs, of various levels of complexity & contract negotiations to meet business requirements & deliver bottom line savings & value add.
Requirement to coach junior members of the team who will have a broader marketing focus than just the media category.
Influence the businesses through strong stakeholder and relationship management.
Role model the Dyson Behaviours, both individually and across the wider team, leading self and leading others with ingenuity, an explorer mindset, resilience and shrewd judgement.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and inspire confidence when faced with uncertainty and change.

Strong Media procurement or media agency background
Willingness to work out of our Global media agency office (London) as and when required.
Evidence of managing a category through the whole life cycle, from strategy creation through procurement to supplier management.
Experience of running large scale global RFP processes.
Advanced negotiation skills and ability to lead strategic negotiations, demonstrated through proven results.
Confidence and credibility with excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage and influence Global senior level stakeholders up to Board level.
Sustains personal energy, self-motivation and productivity and encourages good resilience in others.
