
Job Purpose
To support the development and ongoing enhancement of Payments and Financial Institution (FI) Clearing capabilities within Cash Management. The role will primarily focus on assisting with product-related activities across domestic payments, cross-border payments, FI clearing services, and settlement support, while working closely with business, operations, technology, compliance, and client-facing teams.
The role will contribute to maintaining efficient, well-controlled, and client-relevant payment and clearing services, while supporting broader cash management and transaction banking objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Product Support – Payments & FI Clearing
• Support the management and maintenance of Payments and FI Clearing products for Corporate and Institutional / FI clients.
• Assist in product enhancement initiatives relating to: Domestic payments, Cross-border payments, FI / institutional payment flows, Clearing and settlement support services
• Contribute to reviews of the existing product proposition and identify areas for improvement based on client needs, operational feedback, and market developments.
• Work with internal stakeholders to help ensure payment and FI clearing products remain relevant, efficient, and aligned with internal guidelines.
Payments Capability Enhancement
• Support initiatives aimed at improving payment processing efficiency, service delivery, and operational consistency.
• Assist in enhancing payment routing, transaction visibility, STP levels, controls, and exception handling.
• Work with relevant teams on changes impacting domestic and international payment services.
• Provide input into process improvements and product updates related to payment journeys and client servicing.
FI Clearing Support
• Contribute to the ongoing support of FI clearing-related services, including coordination around payment servicing, settlement support, and operational requirements.
• Work with internal stakeholders to help address product and process needs linked to FI and institutional payment flows.
• Assist in reviewing service gaps, operational issues, and opportunities to improve the client and internal servicing model for FI clearing activities.
• Coordinate with relevant teams where required on matters affecting payment flow efficiency and service continuity.
Operational Coordination & Process Improvement
• Work closely with operations and technology teams to support smoother payment and clearing processes.
• Assist in identifying manual touchpoints, process bottlenecks, and areas requiring stronger controls or better turnaround times.
• Support implementation of agreed process improvements within payment and FI clearing activities.
• Contribute to internal discussions on service enhancements and operational efficiency improvements.
Risk, Governance & Compliance
• Support day-to-day Payments and FI Clearing product activities in line with internal policies, governance standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist with the updating and periodic review of Country Addenda to the Product Program Guidelines (PPG), taking into account the key legal, regulatory, compliance, tax, credit risk, and other internal policy considerations relevant to the products.
• Work with Compliance, AML, Sanctions, Risk, and other relevant stakeholders to understand requirements, regulatory changes, and their potential impact on product features, processes, and servicing arrangements.
• Contribute to maintaining product documentation, process notes, and control-related records, and support alignment of product activities with the Bank’s policies, guidelines, risk management processes, and risk appetite.
• Help communicate relevant risk, governance, and compliance updates to internal stakeholders including GTB Management, Sales, and Coverage, to support awareness and consistent implementation.
• Escalate issues appropriately where payment processing, service quality, governance, or control concerns are identified.
Stakeholder Coordination
• Coordinate with business, operations, technology, implementation, and service teams on product-related matters impacting payments and FI clearing.
• Support communication and follow-up for product changes, enhancements, and issue resolution.
• Provide assistance in aligning internal teams on delivery timelines, dependencies, and service expectations.
• Participate in discussions with relevant stakeholders to support smooth execution of product and process updates.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Minimum 5 years product management experience in payments and clearing
• Very strong understanding of the GCC market for these products
• Track record developing and successfully commercialising new products
• Experience in agile product and technology development approaches
• Strong people management skills
• Strong analytical and data rationale mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal influencing ability
