The Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Senior Career Medical Officer vacancy for Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS), Adult Mental Health Services – South. The Continuing Care Teams (CCTs) provide multidisciplinary community care for consumers living with enduring and complex mental illness in Southern Tasmania. CCTs are recovery-orientated and operate in a manner that is person-centred, strengths-based, trauma-informed, collaborative, and empowering. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Permanent full time, day worker (with on call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible.

Senior Career Medical Officer Level 1 - 3 $198,083 - $212,180 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
