Acting as the on‑site representative, this role ensures strong coordination between global project teams and local site teams across all key project dimensions.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in managing complex capital projects, strong construction management expertise, and the ability to perform effectively in an agile environment. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring a consistent presence across office, production, and active construction areas.

A deep understanding of the Romanian permitting process, including environmental approvals and construction authorizations, is essential.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary on‑site liaison between U.S.-based project leadership and Romania-based site, engineering, and contractor teams.
  • Ensure safety is the top priority while delivering projects on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
  • Partner with U.S. leadership to plan, manage, and control project execution, including schedules, budgets, and risks.
  • Oversee construction activities, including contractor coordination, field execution, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Proactively identify risks and constraints and implement effective mitigation actions.
  • Drive collaboration and accountability across cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
  • Communicate clearly through reports, leadership updates, and verbal briefings.
  • Support agile execution, adapting to changing site conditions and business priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate standards, and SHE requirements.
  • Maintain a strong field presence to monitor execution and reinforce safety and quality expectations.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
  • 10+ years of experience delivering capital projects in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large‑scale capital projects with significant total installed costs.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the Romanian permitting process, including environmental and construction approvals.
  • Strong construction management experience within active, operating facilities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize safety and schedule while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Results‑driven problem solver with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Romanian.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with international project teams
  • Proven experience delivering projects in brownfield or operating facilities, using EPC / EPCM delivery models.
  • Strong understanding of European construction practices and regulatory requirements.

What’s in it For You

  • Working in a dynamic and international company, where entrepreneurship, innovation, personal relationships, collaboration, and customer service are top priorities.
  • The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth.
  • The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives and ideas to achieve our best.
