The Continuing Care Capital Planning and Data Strategy Unit within the Continuing Care Capital Branch is responsible for the planning and prioritization of new and modernized continuing care infrastructure, as well as oversight of government owned continuing care home capital assets. This work is guided by the province's continuing care transformation strategy and supports targeted capital grant funding streams under the Continuing Care Capital Program (CCCP). Assisted Living and Social Services is seeking an experienced professional to lead the province’s capital strategy for continuing care infrastructure.
In this role, you will align demographic trends, service needs and policy objectives with long‑term capital development goals to ensure government capital investment supports expanded and modernized continuing care capacity and responsible stewardship of public funds.
You will develop multi‑year capital infrastructure plans, prioritization sequences and annual budget submissions that align with fiscal frameworks, government priorities, and cross‑ministry planning. You will conduct financial analysis, scenario modeling, and risk assessments to support strategic decision‑making and guide recommendations to senior officials. You will also integrate continuing care capital planning with the housing capital approach and across health ministries to support a seamless continuum of care.
To be successful in this role, you will collaborate extensively with internal partners, other ministries, the provincial health agency, municipalities, providers, and industry organizations to build consensus, coordinate priorities, and operationalize capital plans. You will also supervise and guide specialists and analysts, setting standards and ensuring high‑quality outputs to support capital planning outcomes.

As the Senior Capital Planner, in addition to your education and experience, you will demonstrate well-honed competencies in the following areas:
