Job Description

Strong global demand is requiring significant capacity increase and investment in our global supply chain factories. The Capital Equipment Excellence team is responsible for accelerating, with safety, quality, and focus, capacity growth across the supply chain. The organization consists of 3 workstreams; Fulfilment, Installation, and Qualification; all working together to create Standard Work and Daily Management to enable success.

The installation team will work cross functionally with EHS, facilities and operations in the Global Supply Chain to ensure facility upgrades, expansion and machine installations are completed safely, with the highest quality, and on time. This role will offer excellent exposure to different aspects of the business and require the engineer to wear several hats.

This job involves these main elements:
1) Working as a project manager to lead and drive installations of a wide variety of manufacturing capital equipment at the Pensacola facilities.
2) Working as a construction project manger for facilities additions and upgrades required to ready the manufacturing areas for new equipment.
3) Leading a group of contract resources to ensure delivery on specific projects and items
4) Working as an Engineer and leader to resolve complex challenges involving a wide variety of manufacturing processes and adapting facilities to ensure successful industrialization.
5) Ensure alignment of equipment installations with the Fulfilment and Installation workstreams, as well as Global Supply Chain.

Essential Functions:

Activities include:

  • Lead installations from pre-delivery to full completion of management of change process across multiple projects.
  • Lead facilities upgrades from planning to full completion of management of change process across multiple projects
  • Lead facility expansion from planning to full completion of management of change process
  • Work proactively across all functions to ensure adherence to processes which drive safe installation and arrangement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on time facilities upgrades and installation of processes for production needs.
  • Problem solve and escalate risks to fulfillment as required.
  • Manage project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, quality and delivery.
  • Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development and improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or construction from an accredited university.
  • At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.

Desired Characteristics:

  • 8+ years of turbine engineering and/or manufacturing experience
  • Proficient Project Management experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
