Senior Campaign and Prospect Manager

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago partners with mission-driven people and organizations across Cook and Lake counties to witness a message of mercy and hope to a world in need by improving lives and nourishing spirits; strengthening and empowering people, families, and communities; and committing to being present to our times through the eyes of faith.

The Senior Campaign and Prospect Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising activities related to CCAC's Vision 2030 campaign. This role partners closely with senior leadership, the advancement team, and the campaign committee to lead prospect research, advance donor engagement strategies, and track campaign progress. The Campaign and Prospect Research Manager serves as a vital support role for the giving team and campaign leadership.

Reports to: Vice President, Institutional Advancement

Responsibilities

Campaign Execution & Strategy

  • Partner with Advancement team leadership to implement secondary moves management strategies to maximize donor-facing meetings and activities with prospects by developing proposals, supporting strategy development, and coordinating outreach.

  • Serve as the point person for major campaign deadlines, benchmarks, and internal coordination, collaborating with Advancement Operations and Communications team members to ensure all campaign material deliverables and reporting deadlines are met.

  • In partnership with the Vice President, coordinate activity of campaign steering committee, helping to staff committee members and Vice President with needed solicitation materials and coordination of outreach.

Prospect Research Management

  • Develop dynamic portfolios through research and analysis to support a growing Giving Team to achieve campaign goals.

  • Lead efforts to ensure donor pipeline viability by working closely with Giving Team and Advancement Operations on strategic portfolio composition and management.

  • Serve as a collaborative partner and thought leader to Giving Team by designing and implementing prospect management best practices that encourage major and transformational gift relationships.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study

  • Experience working with donor databases to support fundraising initiatives and maintain engagement across a large donor portfolio

Preferred Education & Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Master's degree in relevant field of study

  • Experience working with Raiser's Edge to support fundraising initiatives and maintain engagement across a large donor portfolio

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of fundraising and management of donor portfolios and demonstrated success using online prospect research tools.

  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and motivational skills, including ease and skill in conveying CCAC's mission to a wide variety of constituents.

  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Ability to work closely with executive leadership.

  • Strong written communications and presentation skills.

  • Experience with prospect/donor management fundraising software applications.

  • Ability to travel as needed and attend evening and weekend events.
