The Role

The position of Senior CAD Technician is part of the design team and reports into the design manager.

Working as a Senior CAD Technician, you will be responsible producing detailed drawings that support engineers, architects, main contractors and Project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Interpret Solution Architect sketches, specifications, and design concepts.
• Revise and update drawings to reflect design changes.
• Check drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain drawing libraries and file management systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Interpret field survey data to create accurate site plans.
• Attend site walkthroughs when needed to understand building restraints and to ensure drawings reflect these.

Products and Training:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Knowledge and experience of audio visual system integration

Other Responsibilities:

• Working with the Design Manager to implement Drawing Standards
• Mentor the other CAD technicians to upskill their knowledge.
